In darkness and decay

Struggling along the way
Avoiding demons’ wrath.
When I was growing up,
Thought I would matter.

Dreams never did shatter.
Damn the consequences.
Unleash the reckless side.
Open up all your senses.
Don't let inner youth die.
Fight to achieve a goal.
Not to roll over and die.
Longing in your soul
To let hope finally fly.
When I have grown up,
Will leave behind a mark.
