11/10/09 Thougths

1) Is it normal to start another project when you so want to finish one you started first? I'm at the halfway point of one novel, but in my head, ideas for another one run around all day. I do write them down, but sometimes, it's frustrating. I want to finish the one first, then go on the other one.

2) For the record, Coke is way better than Pepsi. Come on! Crown and Coke. Jack and Coke. Name one drink where they use Pepsi?

3) I love whiskey. Proof? See #2.

4) Yes, it was a rough day. How rough? See #3.

5) Family. You love them, you hate them, and some days, you want to beat them senseless with a bat. Ah well, you only have one family, so make the most of them.

Random Thought

Well, today was a crappy day until I went on my lunch break. I got my lunch out of the fridge and sat down. As I opened my lunch, I found a frog in my chef’s salad. I gagged at first, but fought the urge to puke. As I tried to stick it with my fork, it talked.
“Hey, what are you doing? You can’t poke me with your fork,” the frog croaked at me.
“You are sleeping in my lunch, the only food I brought today. You ruined my salad, that’s why,” I snap back.
“I’ll make it up to me. I know the meaning of life.”
It’s not normal to find a frog in your salad. I believed him, so I agreed. It almost told me the meaning of life. Before it could, a monkey came over and ate it.
"Why did you do that, monkey?"
The monkey replied, "What's the point of living if you know the meaning of life?"

“Abstract Views”

Swimming in a sea of manufactured silicon
An “. exe” lost amongst a terabyte of code
The match to ignite the flames of change
Was declared unsafe by the water plant
A crying mother heard through a transmitter
Vocal cords are now the dodo bird of evolution
The only truths are broadcast via satellite
Written words are declared a complete heresy
Music is classified by only what the radio plays
The orchestra was arrested for preaching anarchy
The sounds of nature is now muted for distracting
The mindless drones marching to the tune of horns
Our dreams are produced in a Hollywood studio
And being molded by public views and surveys
Imaginations are now expressed through a joystick
Suicide is to unplug the one-eyed demon and think
The land of radicals is now controlled by law and order
Anarchy is now conveniently sold over the counter
Yet society has a five-day waiting limit on chaos
Break free of thy chains of wires and microchips
Open thy eyes and see the world for what it truly is
Free thy mind and wipe out the virus called the media
The real world is out there, join it while you still can

“The Great Novel Life”

My mind is my paper
My imagination is my pen
My decisions are chapters
In the great novel called life
However, life is truly not a book
It is a long and enduring journey
That begins from the moment of birth
And ends when we refuse to carry on
What happens on this mysterious journey
Is totally up to you, so choose wisely
For life doesn't make you who you are
You make life what you want it to be
