"Whimsical Innocence"

Whimsical innocence
Lost in burning rubble.
Air raid sirens blaring
They gather into huddles.
The strong are called
Marching towards death.
The constant bullets
Tear through their chest.
World leaders masturbate
Their massive war machine.
Their news outlets hypnotizing
New drones join their regime.
The frozen war is now hot..
Bubbling in the Middle East.
Both sides are protesting
As police clear the streets.
Whimsical innocence
Forever lost to violence.
Childhood lost in these wars
As families weep in silence.

"Defiance"

They can't deny us.
They can't defy us.
They can't control us.
They can't conform us.
Two lost souls united.
Two hearts defiant.
A love burning bright.
A love worth the fight.
They tried to shame us.
They tried to mame us.
They tried to break us.
They tried to berate us.
Believed in our hearts.
We will never be apart.
We'll fight to the very end.
My promise to my friend.
A love they couldn't deny.
A love they couldn't defy
A love etched in our souls
A love they'll never control.

"My Prison"

I have survived.
A prison not made of stone,
But of flesh and bone.
I keep fighting
The neverending pain;
The doubts in my brain.
I have falling
Because of my heart
And soul torn apart.
I have lashed out
Against my wife.
The joy in my life.
I try to believe
There is a cure.
To live once more.
I'm holding on
To a glimmer of hope
Even when I mope.
I am pushing on
For I still believe
And refuse to grieve.

"Autumn Fate"

 Trying to find happiness
In a world full of nastiness.
Trying to seize the fucking day
As all hopes of peace go away.
Campus riots against genocide.
The police enforcing suicide.
War exploding in The Middle East.
Nuclear bombs wait to be released.
No solutions besides total anarchy
Flames of chaos destroy democracy.
A king longs to be finally crow
As everything burns to the ground.
One vote away to total annihilation
One vote from breaking the nation.
One bomb causing us to splinter.
One bomb away from nuclear winter.
Our broken backs against the wall
As we determine our fate this fall.
Will we finally reunite in peace,
Or will we shatter into pieces?
