"Situational Gravity"

The gravity of a bad situation
Is twisting my damned soul.
Order is endlessly caving in.
My mind finally losing control.
Befriending all of my demons,
And giving into the temptations.
Betrayed the last of humanity.
Reality shaped by hallucinations.
A hollow shell is all that remains.
No detectable pulse nor a heart.
Wore down and lost all my will.
Society has at last torn me apart.
The gravity of a tragic situation
Weighing down my damn soul.
Anarchy is slowly taking over.
My mind finally losing control.
Everything I once knew gone.
Existential crisis now unfolds.
Titanium and wiring defines me.
Replacing all my flesh and bone.
I've become the thing I've hate.
An enslaved, mindless machine.
Controlled by a master system,
No longer by goals and dreams.
Freed from the hopeless situation.
No longer burden by my soul.
Order has replaced the turmoil.
My CPU finally gained control.

“Cherished Memories”

Our cherished memories.
The true spiritual voice
From the great beyond.
In our darkest hours,
They will call out to us
In our hearts and souls.
Forever reminding us
That they are always
Looking down upon us.
Many tears will be shed,
As we face dark times
Uncertainty in our eyes
We recall their smile
As our faith is tested
Trying to leave the dark.
A single reflection
Brings forth light
Moving us onward
Until we can reunite
Sharing our memories
For the rest of eternity.

The Madam Of Suburbia Chapter 34

Chapter 34 - A Giant Lead
It's been one month since Maddie's safe house was burnt to the ground, but we've haven't let Madam slide with that shit. Every night, we're actually doing shit to fuck up her business. It seems when you piss off a CIA agent, they don't wait for the red tape to clear. They gather a small militia, and start clearing house. I don't know why I agreed to help The DEA first since all they did was read paperwork, and try to betray each other. In other words, I'm fucking happy something is being done instead of sitting around with our thumbs up our asses.
I think about how we've been interrupting Madam's supply lines as I sit in the dark corner of a small windowless room as I stare at Riese in the middle of the room under a single bulb. He's chained down to a steel chair that's bolted to the concrete floor. As I watch him like a stalking lion watches a zebra, all I can think about is Donnie's final seconds on this planet. I debate doing the same to this giant piece of shit, but I want this bastard to suffer. Besides, being Blue's right hand man, we need to extract as much information as we can from this asshole before we end his fucking life.
"I can smell your fear, Ronnie," Riese says as I remind in the dark. "Still remembering what I did to Donnie?"
"Don't worry, I promise you it your fucking death won't be as quick, but just as painful."
"I fear no man," he retorts. "Besides, you won't break me."
I stay quiet as I think about how we managed to capture this asshole. I always thought trying to bring down Riese would be a battle considering the fucker is over seven feet tall, but all it took was to be at the right place at the right time. He was pulled over by a local cop because of a busted headlight as we were following him. A few flash of badges later, some chloroform, and a moving truck was all it took for the asshole to end up back here. I so wanted to put a slug into his head the instant he was in the truck, but that will destroy valuable intel about the real internal workings of Madam's hierarchy. So, I will let him live for now.
I hear the door open. I look up and see Maddie standing there holder a hammer. She looks at me, and motions to leave. I nod my head and walk towards the door.
"Sending a woman to do a man's job?" says Riese.
"No. I'm sending him out so he won't be a witness for what I'm about to do," retorts Maddie.
I close the door, and head back to my bunk. As much as I want to watch Maddie work over Riese, I know why she didn't want me there. The methods she will most likely use will violate so many laws that if no one else is there, we all can deny seeing anything. I can only smile as I hear that giant piece of shit howl in pain over the next few hours. When the pain stops, I begin to wonder if she killed him. I get my answer as I hear Riese beg for her to stop, and a few minutes later, the door slams open and shut.
Maddie walks into the room where our bunks are at, and sits down on the bunk across me from.
"Is he dead?"
"No, but a car battery to his balls did make his beg to end his life," she cackles.
"Seriously? You kept shocking his junk? That's fucking twisted," I wince as I cover my own junk with my hand.
"No matter how big a man is their balls are their weakest spot."
"So, get any information out of him?" I ask I try to stop thinking about being electrocuted through my nuts.
"He gave up an address for a supposed stash house, but to divulge that kind of information so quickly makes me think it's a trap."
"I agree. I would die before giving that up," I reply. I begin to wonder if his capture was a trap. It was almost too easy to get him back here. We did strip search him before moving him out of the city, and broke his phone. I can't help shake the feeling that Madam's troops will be here shortly to launch an assault on this place. This entire thing smells like a used fucking diaper, but then again, working in the underworld isn't a field of roses and fucking unicorns. It's a life where it's either be the shit, or end up face down in shit.
"So, up for some recon tonight?" she asks.
"As long as I can bring Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson?"
"No, but we are bringing Mr. Lapua," she replies.
"Reach out and touch someone at 800 yards?" I chuckle.
"If it's a trap, I want to be far enough back we can get the fuck out of there before shit happens."
"What time are we leaving?"
"Now. The vehicle is ready."
I get off my bunk, toss on some clothes, and follow her down the hallway. In the garage, there's a red minivan by the main garage door. I glance inside and see two plastic cases, and a duffel bag in the rear of the van. Maddie hops into the driver's seat as I crawl into the passenger's seat. As we leave the garage, all I can think is this better not be a setup. I glance back at the cases and realize if it is, we at least are armed. As we pull onto the county road that heads to Curva, I pray that we won't be greeted by a small army like the last time I entered Curva.

Red Eyes - Chapter 4

Chapter 4 – Whispering Smoke
A white feather and a cryptic message about a mortal prison has consumed Vlad's mind ever since his last encounter with Red Eyes. He doesn't recall anything else that happened that day, but the feather weighs heavy on his mind. He's never been a religious man, but as he clutches the plastic cross he was given by one of the guards as he lays on his bed. He has accepted that now is the best time to have faith in a higher power. He has acknowledged a demon is lurking within these walls, so why is it troubling to accept the possibility of another celestial being hiding as well. He wonders if he's gotten that bitter in his old age that it is easier to accept the existence of a demon versus an angel.
"Release me from my prison of bone, and liberate your soul," comes a whisper.
Vlad sits up in bed, clutching the cross harder while crying out, "Who's there?" Since his mental breakdown (what HR claims he suffered to avoid further investigations), Domus Metis has been empty save him. The state decided to relocate patients until an official statement can be released about the incidents happening within these walls. The person who even stops in here to see him is Johannes, but he only stops long enough to bring Vlad his meals. Something happened between him and Johannes, and Johannes refuses to talk about it.
Vlad watches as a large, white feather drifts from the ceiling, landing at his feet. He reaches down, and grabs it while glancing around his cell wondering when did a bird get inside here. He studies it closer, and notices that it's almost long as his arm.  He wonders where it came from as he runs his fingers over it causing it glow while warming his hands. As he hears the front security gates swing open, the feather flashes white before vanishing into thin air. As the gates close, he hears, "Free me..."
Vlad looks towards the gate, and sees a man with blond hair strapped to a wheelchair being escorted by four guards into Domus Metis. The man is wearing a muzzle and a straight jacket as the guards have Tasers in their hands. As Vlad looks at the man while passing his cell, he remembers where he saw this man before. This man was the one in the file Detective Ramos showed him before Red Eyes appeared that day. He looks at the man and wonders was he also possessed by Red Eyes, or is this man truly that troubled. Sadly, due to his current location, he may never find out.
He watches the guards carefully wheel the man into one of the cells, and unstrap him. The man gets out of the wheelchair, and sit down on the bed. Vlad notices the guard removing the muzzle hands shake as the man sits there and stares at Vlad with an empty look in his green eyes. Vlad studies him as a guard removes the straight jacket, and they rush out of the cell, slamming the cell door behind them as the man refuses to move. He nods his head at Vlad before laying down on his bunk.
A tap on Vlad's cell wall makes him stumble backwards. Outside his cell, Michael stands there with a smile on his face. Vlad notices there's something different at Michael. He seems much more relax, not the nervous HR director he used to be. He motions for Vlad to come closer. Vlad places his head against the cell wall as the room suddenly goes cold.
"You two are both here for the same reason," Michael explains. "Blaming your sins on a man with red eyes."
"The only sin I've committed was not loving my wife," Vlad replies.
"I know all your sins, comrade," sneers Michael while pointing towards the other cell. "I also know all of Travis Vanderson's sins as well. You two will be spending a lot of time together so maybe you can help each other renounce your sins, and face your punishment."
"This isn't punishment enough?" retorts Vlad.
Michael looks at Vlad as Vlad watches Michael's eyes start glowing red. "We will decide your fate. So, until then, be a good doctor, and help the new patient."
Vlad stumbles back so fast he trips over his own feet, and lands on the floor. He looks up at Michael as Michael stands there sneering as his eyes continue to glow red. Michael snaps his fingers, and walks away. As he gets close to the door, Vlad looks over and sees Travis' cell door is wide open. Inside the cell, one of the guards has his hands around Travis’ throat as gray smoke drifts out of the guard’s mouth
"Let me go!” exclaims Travis as smoke continues to bellow out of his mouth. “Let me go before he kills us all!”
“Jimmy, let the patient go,” orders one of the other guards.
“He is a murder, Thomas,” states Jimmy in a shadowy voice. “He should pay for his sins.”
“Let him go!” Tom shouts as he grabs Jimmy’s arms, trying to release his grip around Travis’ throat.
In a blink of an eye, Vlad watches as Jimmy grabs Tom’s throat, and with a single jerk upwards rips Tom’s skull off his spinal cord like he was ripping off a sheet of notebook paper. He drops the severed head onto the floor as gray smoke begins to exit from his mouth. He collapses next to the lifeless corpse, the smoke still drifting from his mouth. As the smoke begins to drift further into the cells, Vlad starts coughing as a wave of nausea washes over his body. Vlad slumps to the floor as smoke begins to exit from his mouth as well. Within minutes, everyone inside Domus Metis collapses onto the floor as the gray smoke fills the entire area.
Inside Travis’ cell, the blood splatter on the wall begins to shift and spells out a word Vlad has never seen before: Vola
As Vlad tastes blood in his mouth, he watches Michael leave the area cackling up a storm as his eyes continue to burn red. Once Michael is gone, the smoke begins to stop as Vlad looks up, and sees another feather drifting downwards. As the feather gets closer, the smoke turns into mist as the guards begin standing up. As the feather lands on Vlad's chest, he hears the whisper once more saying, "Liberate me...."
